It's a well known fact that Domenech didn't select Pires because he was a Scorpio.

You are correct. Pires is not in the French squad- but I think that is because they have far too much talent in the midfield. Where did you get the info on Domenech's interest in astrology?
I'm adding one extra thing in, is it not true that Pires, formerly of Arsenal is not on the French team. This seems like a very good player not going if this is true. It has probably been cover that the coach Domenech is into astrology, not good if Pires' sign played a part in him not being selected. But if the team is that talented, so be it!

I think the French team is past its prime. After all they needed Zidane to just to get them to the finals.
