Joga Bonito Gone Bad: Does Nike cause metatarsal injuries?

"Manchester United have confirmed that there is no link between the boots and the injury sustained by Wayne."

How do they know? Did Nike make them say it? My metatarsals hurt just thinking about it.

Also:
