If Buffon has won or does win , he would become only the second goalkeeper to win it after Soviet legend Lev Yashin in 1963

I think samuel Eto'o deserves this award he is the best fir the moment
As good as Buffon was at the world cup, I was far more impressed with Portugal's Ricardo (as far as goalkeeping goes). The most deserving player for this award wasn't even at the world cup: Samuel Eto'o.
I don't watch much Italian football, but I haven't heard much about him over the past year. Yes he was brilliant in the world cup, but so were many other players... Zidane is a name that springs to mind. Ok the headbut let him down, but he was fantastic apart from that.
