The Mighty Magyars should have won this finals. An injured Puskas scored the first goal and was denied an equalizer 2 minutes before the match ended. The match in Germany is known as the Miracle at Bern.

Please Soccer Blog, read the above tribute/column; and then web-search for what Glanville says, regarding one of the sides, and NOT the Hungarians; doping up for that game. Shameful; and from other articles I found, I've got to believe it is possible. I never knew this before. Yeh! Doubly so, they shoulda probably won that. Don't care to cast dispersions on any team; but probably more of this than we know of. Comments? And sorry I missed the initial posts here on Puskas. Fine fellow; great player.
