Le Guen is gone: Rangers coach fired

Paul Le Guen's stripping Barry Ferguson of the captaincy and then dropping him altogether from the Rangers squad against Motherwell was the last straw and he was fired by the Rangers. Le Guen's 7 month tenure was the shortest in club history. Le Guen was signed on by Sir David Murray, Rangers CEO with high hopes because of his track record at Lyons, where he helped them to three successive league titles.

Rangers are 17 points behind Scottish league leaders Celtic.
