"The executive committee is now convinced South Africa will be a good host for the 2010 World Cup.At our last meeting in December there were queries, hesitations, even doubts expressed by some members of the executive committee. Today, they all stood united behind South Africa and we are happy overall. They will also have the privilege of hosting the Confederations Cup in 2009 as a test event."...said Blatter among other things.Horst R. Schmidt, vice president of the 2010 organising committee is also quite firmly convinced that all is well and on schedule.
