Good news: Kenya rejoins international soccer

The Kenyan national squad can now participate in the Africa Nations Cup qualifiers and other international games. Fifa's Emergency Committee granted the conditional lifting of the suspension, paving the way for the team's match against Swaziland on March 24.

This is welcome news for Kenyan soccer but the word 'conditional' does not sound too promising. FIFA's interpretation of government intervention sounds extremely arbitrary and usually affects the less powerful soccer nations.
