I disagree. Beckham's recall to the England squad has everthing to do with his improved play and the fact that England needs a spark and a confidence booster. since becks left man utd, there has been noone even close to his free kick taking ability. and i venture to say the national team has the same problem. england played like shit against ecuador in the WC and it was becks that won that game for them, one free kick and GOAL. i thought it poetic justice after all the grief he got.
