U 20 World Cup: USA draws S.Korea, 1-1

Josmer Altidore tangles with the S.Korean defense

The US staved off a tough S.Korean U20 side that was clearly a notch faster than the defense expected it to be. The first half saw the US take the lead after Freddy Adu at the near post flicked a long ball from Sal Zizzo onto an onrushing Danny Szetela. The S.Koreans equalized 20 minutes later through Young Rok Shin on a one on one situation with Chris Seitz.

Chris Seitz came up with some huge saves which might have otherwise made the score line completely one sided.

Match report >>

It does not get easier for the US because they have to play Poland which beat Brazil, 1-0 and of course Brazil too. So a win against the other teams would help their going onto the next stage considerably.
