Pablo Garcia could have taken the Uruguayans to the finals but his shot hit the inside right post and bounced clear. Then Doni saved Diego Lugano's shot after Gilberto slotted his PK past Carini. It did look like Doni broke his line early. The game ended in regulation time, 2-2 with goals from Maicon (video), Forlan (video), Julio Baptista (video), and Sebastian Abreu (video).

I'm portuguese and I didn´t have the opportunity to watch the game live. I'm reviewing the penalty kicks now (from the portuguese sport TV channel). I think it was a fantastic competitive game... even at the penalties! I'm a portuguese soccer coach and the president of SoccerDrillsTips.com and I'd like to congratulate this site as an amazing soccer resource.
