Middlesborough transfer rejuvenates Mido

mido_1.jpg

Mido has found a home in Middlesborough and his output is proving critical in mitigating the loss of Mark Viduka. His two goals in his two matches are an encouraging sign that Mido is shrugging off his disappointing season at White Hart where he was sidelined by the Spurs striker depth. He gained weight and his unhappiness at his lack of playing time soon soured the welcome that he had received coming back on a permanent transfer from AS Roma.

He finally joined Boro after a deal with Man City fell through at the last minute and the club matched Birmingham and Sunderland for his services. Gareth Southgate must be pleased that the £6m transfer is working out.
