Sergio Aguero celebrates Argentina's 3-0 rout of Brazil at the Beijing Olympics

There are matches being played all over the world. Then there is the Brazil vs Argentina encounter.

Diego Maradona on the day before the match praised the thousands of fans who had shown up at the Ros Tower Hotel. He singled out Leo Messi as the trump card in the match. The little genius will have to provide some Maradona moments to bring Argentina back into the qualifying fold. Breathing down their necks is Ecuador who face Colombia in another gripping encounter at Medellin.

The simple plan is to stop Kaka and his distribution to Robinho and Luis Fabiano. Easier said than done but that is what the defense needs to do along with the strikers tracking back. Tevez and Messi might see themselves drifting back deeper in the midfield.

The referee Colombian Oscar Ruiz, well known in South America, might see some testy moments and unruly crowd action. Maradona called him " a man of experience, knows what is at stake. Dunga and I can be calm."
