Kroenke sweeps up more loose shares

Ten more shares bought for £8,500 per share as Stan Kroenke creeps up to 28.9%, a mere 1.09% away from the threshold where he can make an automatic bid for Arsenal.

Any such offer will have to be at a price not less than the highest price per share paid in the last 12 months, which was May 2009 when he bought 5000 shares which belonged to Clive and Richard Carr, and Sarah Phipps-Bagge for £10,500 per share.

As this comment highlights, Kroenke can make a voluntary bid for the club at any time, but it might make more business sense to wait till April 2009 for that crucial 12 month period to lapse after which he can offer a lower price per share.
