The World Cup qualifier between Mexico and El Salvador saw some un -bee - coming tactics by a swarm of bees that were obviously supporting Mexico.
The swarm took up temporary residence inside the El Salavdor goal and proceeded to distract the goalie by buzzing around and cheering for Mexico. He took offence at this and the game had to be stopped till the overpatriotic insects could be cleared from the area.Mexico went on to win 4 -1. There's a more detailed description of the comedy surrounding the efforts to chase the bees away here...

It seems as though Mexican fans go to such great lengths to ensure that their team will come out on top. SO much so that i doubt that these bees ended up in the goal by chance alone. The event was definitely out of the ordinary and added some extra excitement to the game. Oh, and by the way, Congratulations Mexico!!
