Wigan gives fans their money back

In another historical initiative Wigan's players have pledged to refund the ticket price for any of the club's fans who attended their side's 9-1 debacle against Tottenham.While it has been firmly established now that Jermain Defoe did not create history by scoring those five goals there are however a few other dismal bits of history in the infamous game.
It was the worst defeat that Wigan have ever had to endure in their 31 years of existence.
They have been left with the worst goal difference in the premier league standings and Defoe's goals included the second fastest hat trick in the premier league.
