Arshavin joins the doubters

This is not a good sign. First, Tomas Rosicky practically wrote of our chances. Now it is Arshavin who can never be accused of holding back.

"Had we possessed a tall player, things would have been better for us, especially in attack. We had nobody capable of holding up the ball. What can we, and must we, change? Only Arsene Wenger knows."

There seems to be a insidious seeping of morale and increasing questions of Arsene Wenger's ability to turn things around. It is happening just a third into the season, so this is real time. This is not retrospective or second guessing.

I agree with Arseblog. The focus justifiably is on a quality striker but our central defense could do with some big time shoring up. With Senderos on his way out at some point or the other and Djorou out till the end of the season, Silvestre as first back up to either Gallas or Vermaelen is not a good idea.
