City lost out to United in the second leg of the Carling Cup semi final.Tevez was in the thick of the things again scoring the all important equalizer for City.But Rooney in his current form was not to be denied.He made up for missing a sitter earlier on in the game by scoring a late winner in injury time.Manchester United go ahead 3 -1 on aggregate.Manchester City were so close at yet so far from finally landing a trophy after 34 years.
