Arsenal: True grit and Nicklas Bendnter

Our goalscoring swoon continues but a win is a win and at this stage we will take them no matter how they come. Arsenal are the kardiac kids of the Premiership and the supporters are down to their last fingernail.
Eduardo is not the same player. The fox in the box is gone- in his place we have a player still carrying the scars, psychic and physical, of that horrific injury suffered two years ago. There were two chances that he should have put away with ease but his finishing and composure let him down badly. But that quality was lacking in general in the rest of the team as a number of simple chances were flubbed by Rosicky and Walcott. 13 attempts on goal and only one to show for it.
The main point is the team soldiered on and Bendtner for all the brickbats he receives, reminds us once again that he can score absolute clutch goals.
We are now only a point behind Man Utd and a win separates us and Chelsea. The gaffer spoke after the match:
“To win after the Champions League game that we had is always satisfying.
“The spirit, the unity and the mental strength in the team is amazing.
“When Nicklas pushed himself he is always a dangerous striker and I believe he is maturing.”

Meanwhile, Karl Henry whose red card meant that Wolves played 10 man for the last 20 minutes has been caught moaning. Bad practice before his club’s appeal. He won’t get any points for it. Making a boneheaded tackle like that should get you punished.
