Bob Bradley quits as USA coach

As per a number of media outlets including ESPN, there are emerging reports that Bob Bradley has handed in his resignation and could be unveiled as Aston Villa's new manager next week.

All sorts of conjecture really with few hard facts to back it up. The resignation part is perfectly believable - Bradley has been quite vocal in his desire for a new challenge preferably overseas. He has run the clock out on his national tenure.

However, Villa's owner Randy Lerner has been advised to go slow in his search for Martin O Neill's replacement. But with the Premiership season a day from opening, the pressure surely is there to make the gamble on the first American to coach a Premiership side. There is a possibility that Michael Bradley might join too. Villamerica, anyone?
