Mame Biram Diouf headed the ball in the general direction of Everton's Tim Howard.
Everton's goalie made the first goalie blooper of the season by allowing the ball to pop out of his hands into the path of Nikola Kalinic who then gratefully scored Blackburn's first goal for the season.
