Clubs with some money can look to getting any of these players for the Real summer special. Jorge Valdano is looking to trim the squad.

Rafael Van Der Vaart is now surplus with Mesut Oezil joining up this summer and the emergence of Sergio Canales. With Sami Khedira and Xabi Alonso as the two holding midfielders, Lassana Diarra and his back up Mahamadou Diarra are not going to get too many minutes either. Fernando Gago has also drifted in and out of the squad and is looking for some sustained playing time.
They will all come cheaper than what Real paid for them which of course makes the Merengues the absolute worst when it comes to a business model. The club paid €80m for these four players - they will be lucky if they make half of that.
Maybe Wenger is right- all he has to do is wait outside the Bernabeu every summer and mug some players. Van Der Vaart has been linked to Man Utd and Stoke on a short term loan.
