The Divine Ponytail has been appointed as Italy's chief scouter of football talent after completing his certification course as coach.

With his appointment Italy is making the right moves towards rebuilding their national team, battered and bruised in this World Cup. Baggio well known for his humility and intelligence and a popular icon amongst the youth, is the perfect person to nourish Italy's talent.

"Italian football can return but to get there encouraging talent will be important. We must believe in young people because they are the future, we must give everything we possess to make them thrive."

Sounds like a refreshing antidote to Lippi's prescription of old, tired legs.
