Video: Chivas de Guadalajara 2 Universidad de Chile 0 (Agg: 3-1)

Mexican invitees, Chivas won overcame U de Chile, 2-0 in their second leg Copa Libertadores semi-final for a winning aggregate of 3-1. Miguel PInto's untidy goalkeeping let in Xavier Baez's shot and then Jonny Magallon put away any hopes volleying a rebound after Pinto had saved his header.

Chivas became only the second Mexican club to enter the finals in Libertadores history. The first was Cruz Azul who entered the 2001 finals but lost to Boca Juniors.

They now await the winners of the Sao Paulo vs Internacional semi-finals, an all Brazilian encounter. The tragic part is that if Chivas wins the finals then they will not be allowed into the Club World Championships as they are CONMEBOL invitees. It will be one of the Brazilian clubs.
