A closer look at Bassong's foul on Nasri

Samir Nasri did go down easily but Sebastian Bassong was guilty of tugging on his shirt. A soft foul but referee Lee Probert was technically correct interpreting a deliberate attempt at obstructing a clear chance on goal.

"Arry Redknapp's assessment is therefore off.

"I thought the first penalty was harsh. He fell over. Really, I think he dived for it."

Robbie Keane scored a dubious goal- looked offside and Lukasz Fabianski showed a limp wrist dealing with his shot.

Jack Wilshere continues to impress and he was singled out by the absent Arsene Wenger, serving out a touchline ban.

"We know that Jack is an outstanding football player. But he can get tackles and give tackles, he's tough. I believe he has an outstanding future."
