The Blaugrana secure their 21st league title and third in succession drawing Levante 1-1. They needed just a point. The match started without pomp or swagger almost as if the title could wait. But Keita’s header off a pinpoint Xavi long ball swung the match into overdrive.
The goal introduced a frenetic quality. Levante responded to the setback with Martin Caciedo punishing Gerard Pique’s sloppy defending and a distracted Victor Valdes. The second half saw Barca push trying to go out as winners with Messi showing off a vintage bit of skill but unfortunately for him the ball hit the upright and went across goal. The last 15 minutes saw both teams killing time in a mutual pact.


The celebrations began in Plaza Catalunya which quickly filled with 12,000 fans mocking Mourinho’s paean of pain “Por qué? Por qué? Por qué? Por qué?”.
