Liverpool goes the full Maxi

It took a goal 6 seconds faster than Chicharito's against Chelsea for Liverpool to go up against Fulham. Maxi Rodriguez capitalizing on Schwarzer's desperate effort to stave off an own goal. Five minutes later Maxi volleyed in Glen Johnson's cross for Liverpool's second goal. Not ten minutes after that Schwarzer made a hash of Dirk Kuyt's speculative shot putting Fulham in a three goal hole.

Moussa Dembele, easily one of Fulham's stars gets one back for the Cottagers craftily angling the ball past Reina. However there was no stopping Maxi with a lashing shot from 25 yards away which Schwarzer knew very little about completing his second hat trick this season.

Luis Suarez always dangerous raced ahead to find Jonjo Shelvey's pass and then brilliantly side stepped Schwarzer's challenge to sweep the ball into goal. Steve Sidwell took full advantage of a botched clearance to hammer home a half volley to narrow the gap.

Liverpool climb to 5th and are assured of European competition. Just a bit of speculation here but if Kenny Dalglish had been hired earlier would Liverpool be in the top four? More importantly, they now can be rightfully considered legitimate threats to challenge for a 19th title in the new season.

With Kenny Dalglish as a football manager Liverpool will definitely be in the top 4 and will fight for the 19th title next season. I expected a Liverpool win but the high scoring was beyond my expectations.
