Carlos Tevez's move to Corinthians is not happening.

An official note on their website confirms the deal is off.

" The board of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista hereby officially communicate the impossibility of hiring the Argentine striker Carlos Tevez."

The deadline for the Brazilian transfer window for overseas players is Wednesday, the 20th. According to Andres Sanchez, the president of the Timao there were disagreements on the structure of payments, the length of the contract, and the surrender clause which the board could not go through at such short notice.

The club however said that they still hoped to count on Tevez in the future.

This is a sticky situation for City because there is no Argentinian league side that can afford his transfer fee that will bring him close to his daughters but they are also reluctant to sell him domestically or to any other European rival like Real Madrid. However they might be forced to because every indication is they are set on acquiring Sergio Aguero. Possibly if Tevez so desires there could be an arrangement to loan him out to his former club Boca Juniors.
