Women's World Cup: France blows out Canada, 4-0

We have the first blow out in a tightly contested Women's World Cup. Les Bleus overwhelmed Canada with their pace and superior passing leaving the defense and Erin McLeod in goal in sixes and sevens.

Emily Zurrer, Candace Chapman, and Desiree Scott all had nightmare performances. At the other end the Canadians failed to register a shot on goal. France's four goals were of top quality as Gaetane Thiny bagged a brace with Camile Abily and Elodie Thomis rounding off the tally.

France have arrived. They look very, very good and if they find consistency, should go far in this World Cup.
