Robin van Persie gave Arsenal the lead in the first minute itself. Seb Larsson brought Sunderland back with a brilliant free kick. Wojciech Szczesny saved what looked like a certain goal and kept Arsenal hanging in there. Arshavin flattered to deceive.
Finally it was Van Persie again who scored the winner - free kick.
