2012 ACN: Zambia shock Senegal, 2-1

Terrible defending by Senegal let them down. Bouna Condoul, the former NY Red Bulls goalie should have done better in the opening goal being caught out of position. Then the Zambians were able to beat the offside trap to score their second. The high powered attack led by Demba Ba, Moussa Sow, and Mamadou Niang could do little.

The second half saw Senegal close the gap as Dame N'Doye scored from close range. But it was not enough as the Chipolopolos (The Copper Bullets) pulled off a famous victory over the Taranga Lions, one of the tournament favourites.
