With Franck Ribéry and Bastian Schweinsteiger on the injury list they should have done better.They fell at the last to a 90th minute goal from ex city man Jérôme Boateng.
Bayern Munich were not free flowing,or all conquering – but they were persevering.
And in the end that proved to be enough.
