Among all the farewells to various legends that have piled up this weekend Steven Gerrard’s will be the most forgettable.
Stoke City thrashed Liverpool 6 -1 in Gerrard’s 710th and final appearance for Liverpool.
The only consolation is that Gerrard scored Liverpool’s consolation goal.
The Stoke City fans gave him a standing ovation for that but it was small consolation for him I guess.
