“The Fifa president, secretary general and media director are sitting in a car. Who’s driving. Answer? The police.”

That joke was enough to get Walter De Gregorio – Fifa’s head of communications – fired.  In polite language, his “resignation” was announced by none other than our hero, FIFA president, Sepp Blatter.
