Nabil Fekir scored his first hat trick against Caen as Lyon swept aside the Normandy club to a 4-0 victory. The 22 year old Fekir, is the young player of the year and lit up the Ligue in 2014-2015 with 13 goals and 9 assists. He’s in august company with past winners who went onto legendary careers including Zinedine Zidane and Thierry Henry.

Fekir already has 4 goals and an assist this season. Naturally, he’s been linked with Arsenal. Who hasn’t? However, he recently committed himself to a four year deal that keeps him at Lyon till 2020.

Fekir’s team mate, Alexander Lacazette is not coming to the Emirates too. Neither are former Lyon and present Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, PSG’s Edinson Cavani, and Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain.

In fact, one can safely say Arsenal are going to close out this transfer window without adding to the squad. They concluded business very early signing Petr Cech and a host of transfers to the reserves and academy.
