Congratulations to Brandi Chastain for her induction to the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Well deserved kudos for her stellar contribution to US soccer and that truly bad ass iconic moment in the 1999 World Cup which defined and made her a household name.

There is a story behind that famous penalty kick and the even more famous celebration. She even had her own impersonator. Chastain’s team mate forward Shannon McMillan also became an inductee and so too Don Garber, MLS commissioner.
