Southampton were runaway victors against an abject and inconsistent Manchester City side.
Shane Long and Mane struck made the score 2 – 0 withih the first half an hour before Kelechi Iheanacho headed City back into the game just before half-time. Man of the Match Mane scored two more in the second half and City are now only four points ahead of United who are also jostling for fourth place.
Manuel Pellegrini,trying to reserve his best for the CL game against Real Madrid in mind, made eight changes to his side but they did not manage to get their act together.Iheanacho’s brace was his only consolation.
