Messi announced his retirement from international football after Argentina lost to Chile in the Copa America finals on penalties yet again.
“The national team is over for me,” he told Argentine network TyC Sports after Sunday night’s match. “It’s been four finals, it’s not meant for me. I tried. It was the thing I wanted the most, but I couldn’t get it, so I think it’s over,” he said.
So while we are still reeling from the shock of Brexit – here’s another exit that we have to deal with.
