Pep’s City beat Mourinho’s United 2-1 at home on judgement day. It was a game that lived up to its star billing with non stop action from start to finish.City hit the posts twice so the score line could have been higher had those gone in.
Man Utd were pretty awful in the first half and City were 2 – 0 up and looked like running away with the game.
However Zlatan got one back for United and then it was pretty evenly matched from then on.
Zlatan has made it four goals in four league games and he is now the only player to have scored in El Clasico, the Milan derby, the Derby d’Italia, the Barcelona derby and the Manchester derby.Pretty good for an ageing warhorse.
Rooney’s main contribution in the first half was to have a bit of a scrap with Pep for the ball.

United were better in the second half but not good enough.
