Barcelona achieve remarkable fair play record

Barcelona have become the first team since the 1970- 71 season to have played 28 league games without conceding a penalty or having one of their players sent off.
The last La Liga penalty Barcelona conceded came over a year ago, on Valentine’s Day 2016 in a 6-1 victory over Celta Vigo, with John Guidetti scoring from the spot.
Javier Mascherano has the dubious honour of being the last Barcelona player to be sent off in a La Liga game. He was given a red card in a 3-1 win over Eibar in October 2015.
Pretty good going.
Their latest 4 – 2 win over Valencia keeps them on the heels on Real Madrid and breathing down their necks at the same time.

A bit of comic relief took place at the post match conference.A totally exhausted looking Luis Enrique was left happily bemused by the fact that one of the journalists actually fell asleep in the middle of the conference.
