In the last game Wenger learned that Arsenal could not manage without Sanchez.This time around he’s figured out that they also cannot manage without Laurent Koscielny.In the first leg against Bayern Munich they were doing (reasonably) okay until Koscielny came off injured – then they fell apart.
They were leading 1 – 0 yesterday and 53 minutes had gone by.Then came that crazy red card.And with Koscielny’s exit came another collapse.The yellow card was changed to a red card on advice of the official behind the goal – which was bad enough- but what followed was worse.Arsenal disintegrated,conceded 5 goals and exited the Champion’s League suffering their worst-ever defeat at the Emirates.
With the overall score reading 10-2 this is Wenger’s worst humiliation yet.
