The final of the U 17 World Cup turned out to be a scintillating game played at breakneck pace from start to finish.Spain took a two goal lead half way through the first half inspite of England having the,well,Lion’s share of possession.
The young lions fought back to make it 2 -1 by half time and continued their leonine game after the break.
They were faster on the ball and stronger physically.
Spain’s tiki taka was marevellous to see but they were beaten at their own game.
England beat them comprehensively in the end.A 5 – 2 win doesn’t leave much room for argument as to which side was better.England finally have a team that look like they have a tremendous future ahead of them.
