A few days ago Spurs,after going two goals down against Juventus, had pulled off a most unexpected come back to draw the game 2-2.
This time they were at the receiving end of a similar unlikely comeback.
Lowly Rochdale who usually languish in the dregs of English football’s third tier pulled off a remarkable 93rd minute comeback against Spurs who are 63 places above them in the football hierarchy of that nation.
Steven Davies was the hero of the evening.He came on as a second half sub and scored the equaliser in the third minute of stoppage time.
Rochdale thus get a chance to beard the Spurs in their own den and until that game at Wembley is played their FA Cup dream stays alive.
