There is a lot riding on today’s showdown between the US and Germany in their friendly, especially for Juergen Klinsmann, the beleaguered German coach. In fact if Germany loses Klinsmann’s job could be in serious jeopardy. His US counterpart Bruce Arena on the other hand is riding high with his FIFA rated team in the top five and even without the services of his star strikers Landon Donovan, DaMarcus Beasley, and midfield general Claudio Reyna he expects the US to do well. The reason; his focus is on fine tuning his squad and not so much the result. Look for a German team that controls the midfield with the US team making quick and dangerous counterattacks.
