Chelsea won over Man U and became the champions again. Game over. Not for the Spurs and the Gunners who are battling out their last couple of matches in the EPL to decide the fourth position.
Tottenham vs West Ham and Arsenal vs Wigan this Sunday, to see who gets to the European League. More importantly so, the Spurs have their first chance in 11 seasons to best the Gunners in the North London Derby. It is safe to say that there is no love lost between the two clubs. In fact, its damn well hard to find another rivalry as intense or as fierce in the sporting world.
Arsene Wenger knows this, and he is already setting up West Ham manager Alan Pardew to do his job and give the Spurs a fight with words like “I think he (Alan Pardew) is a real professional; I have no doubt about that. ”
Here is the clincher. “If they go into the FA Cup final having lost against Tottenham they will not win the cup final, I tell you. “
This in reference to the FA cup final between Liverpool and West Ham. Nobody can say that Arsene Wenger is not a master in pyschobabble. Do you think West Ham is not feeling the heat?
As for Martin Jol, Spurs manager. “It is probably the biggest game of my managerial career.”
