Then a spokesman from the Beckham camp rejected the claim saying surprise surprise. "No one has ever discussed a retirement date.David's only concern is to play for Real Madrid and win things at the club"
And this is followed by the club's sporting director, Predrag Mijatovic's quote for the day "Who said anything about paying him more? Maybe he will stay earning less."
