Not sure this is the best Ajax side in history, the club already won the European Clubs' Champions Cup during the 1970s, three time in a row from 1971 to 1973, and Ajax finished as runner ups in 1969.
Here is the 1972 side:
Stuy - Suurbier, Blankenburg, Hulshoff, Krol - Neeskens, Haan, Swart, Gerry Mühren - Cruyff, Keizer.
Guess what... ? This is the away match! Got fooled by the title, should have looked better. Thanks again!
Thanks Lode
I wish I could have seen Ajax in their heydays. They had class players. I'll try and dig out the away match video clip.
Thanks a lot for this. BTW, in the away match a couple of months later(november 22, just before winning the World Cup in Tokyo) they were truly at their best. The 0-2 result doesn't do any justice to the supremacy on the pitch.
