The latest buzz is that Fulham is close to signing a deal worth £1 million for US defender Oguchi Onyewu. Gooch was a standout in the US World Cup squad and won the 2006 US soccer POY. If this works out then Fulham will have a distinct Yankee flavour with Brian McBride and Carlos Bocanegra already there.
