West Ham: Don't expect Boa Morte to do it

West Ham's season has been one of swelling the ranks of players. But the players lack quality, alluded to by Curbishley when he took a veiled swipe at former coach Alan Pardew and his summer signings. But Curbs is being disingenuous by signing on Luis Boa Morte. It would be a stretch to call Luis Boa Morte quality. And a real stretch when Curbs mentions his interest in chunky Mark Viduka and unsettled Shaun Wright Phillips.

But all these calculations fly out the window with the kind of drubbing the Irons received at the hands of Reading. You know there is going to be a letdown in the next game from such an emotional win over Man U, especially with a green team like West Ham. Curbs should have prepared the team better.

So adding new players is not going to solve problems. The Irons have seen enough of that. None of these new players have managed to inspire the present lot. Nigel Reo-Coker has been pathetic. It is a bit of a joke to make a U-21 a team captain. Marlon Harewood and Bobby Zamora started strong but have faded. The present squad was good enough to take them to the 9th position last season but these guys have not shown up. The Man Utd win was entirely provided for by the old squad. Getting Ashton back will help, more than anyone else.

Curbs has to get the old squad to respond and get them out of relegation zone. A few videos of the Man U game should help. The Magpies showed that they could do it after firing Souness and then ending their second half of last season on a brilliant run. There is no reason that West Ham cannot do it with their future England squaddies. Green and Ashton are quality. Magnusson and Curbs should stop shopping around and concentrate on the players they have.

What have you got against Boa Morte? He has shown that he is a quality player for several years, just look at his performance against Arsenal several weeks ago for proof. Hope this article isn't part of your day job.

West Ham's still suffers from a feeder club mentality. They can't retain their players. It happened when they had no money and it is going to happen now because they just don't trust their players.

Take it easy guys! Ah, nothing ventured nothing gained, and as I heard someone say, can the Irons make the gr8t escape out of the relegation zone. The writer could be correct, it's downright gloomy for them. Why not give an opinion, I've been over at the KUMB site, doing such. And if they make it out, who'd take their place in the bottom 3? Wigan? His article is not my logic, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Guy seems pretty decent around here.

The big push is not to get relegated, I guess there is little silver lining to such, B-ham rollicking down in the C-ship; but so many teams never make it back. Next game vs. Fulham, I told all, if Dempsey makes it from the USA; watch out, it wouldn't be a bad place to make his debut on Jan. 13th.

I surely appreciate a little bit of armchair quarterbacking; why the heck not!

It's a different approach, all I've heard, is criticising the players. Dang, why not voice an opinion, they are heading south, unless they start winning, yesterday, next week at the latest.

What aload of cobblers - you are just wittering on about general rubbish.

You have no anylitical insight into what has gone wrong and further more no solutions.
Pathetic ramblings of an ego out of control!

The most worthless piece of West Ham related writing I've ever read masquerading as an "article". You, are utterly clueless, "friend".

what an absolute bollocks article. The current squad are useless, the more we get rid of the better!

E- Don't give up your day job. Terrible article!

What on earth are you ranting about? How long would u suggest curbs waits for these players to re-gain there form? West ham dont have that time, they are bottom 3 and the gap to safety is growing. These new signings maybe just what the club needs!
