Seattle Sounders lead MLS All Stars ballot

About 30,000 fans pack Qwest field for the Sounders home matches. Having one of the most enthusiastic fan base has its payoffs and this tremendously influences the MLS All Star selection.
It is not surprising that except for Landon Donovan of the Galaxy, the rest of the top ten are all Seattle Sounders.
Goalkeeper: Kasey Keller
Defenders: Tyrone Marshall, Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, James Riley
Midfielders: Freddie Ljungberg, Osvaldo Alonso, Brad Evans, Steve Zakuani
Sebastian Le Toux
Strikers: Fredy Montero

Columbus Crew defender Frankie Hejduk is also running close as are Crew playmaker Guillermo Barros Schelotto Crew and Toronto’s Dwayne De Rosario. Amongst the strikers Seattle’s Nate Jaqua, Chicago’s Brian McBride and Juan Pablo Angel of the New York Red Bulls are leading contenders.
The online fan balloting program, which concludes on July 6, will comprise 25 percent of the total vote for the All-Star First XI, with coaches and general managers, players, and media each holding 25 percent of the vote.
