Ibrahimovic to Barca: This does not make sense

The Spanish media is all over this. Inter get Samuel Eto’o, Hleb on loan and €40 million in cash.
Wait! Samuel Eto’o who was running neck to neck with Diego Forlan for the Pichichi and was Barca’s top scorer this season is at a conservative estimate half the value of Zlatan Ibrahamovic? Wasn’t it just the other day that City was offering him £200,000 in weekly wages which would make him one of the most expensive footballers in the world?
Don’t get me wrong Ibrahamovic is a great player but Eto’o is not chopped liver. A player who has never scored less than 17 goals even in an injury curtailed season. This year he scored 34 goals. Both are the same age but Samuel Eto’o has done more for his club than Ibrahamovic.
From a CL perspective, this deal is a no brainer. The Nerrazurri are desperate to make a mark in the upper echelons of European football. So far they have come up woefully short. Eto’o’s CL goal scoring exploits are far superior than Ibrahimovic. In 21 appearances the Swede has scored an anemic 6 goals for Inter. In comparison, Eto’o has 34 CL appearances with a much healthier 16 goals for Barca. None bigger than the one that he scored against Man Utd in this year’s CL final which helped them win the title. In actuality, it should be Inter paying money for Eto’os services rather than the other way around.
